In the Waid F.P. Sevens the Wilson trophy was won by Madras F.P. who last took it in 1980. They beat Hyndland 26-0 in the final with tries by Beardsmore (2), Stewart, Christie and Reid. Madras captain Christie, who played in the 1980 side, also kicked three conversions.

The winning team:- J. Beardsmore, K. Douglas, M. Christie, N. Kelly, A. Reid, M. Russell, D. Stewart.
