Notes: Selkirk Cricket Club held a Sports Day on 17 May 1884. Included in this was a Rugby Union sevens tournament which 12 teams entered. This was the third Sevens tournament in the world to be instated after Melrose Sevens (1883) and the Gala Sevens (1884). The Gala Sevens began just before on the 12 April 1884.
